The Strasbourg Alliance Church is made up of a group of people who gather together for regular worship and fellowship.  Our common beliefs are based upon the historic Christian faith.  We are evangelically-minded with a clear commitment to the authority of the Bible.  On Sunday mornings we have Sunday School at 10:00 a.m. followed by Worship Service at 11:00 a.m.  We also have weekly Bible studies, youth functions, music groups, women’s ministries and frequent fellowship times.

The Alliance Church in Strasbourg has deep historic roots. The Eastmount Baptist Church began in 1921 and moved into town from the countryside in 1969.  An Arlington Beach Mission Field of the Presbyterian Church of Canada was organized in 1928. The Strasbourg members of this organization began meeting at the former Methodist church building under the name of Knox Presbyterian Church. This church changed its name to the Strasbourg Gospel Church in 1963 and then in 1980 it became known as the Strasbourg Alliance Church. The current building used in worship is an extensive addition to the Eastmount Baptist Church building. This addition was completed in 1987. Today people from these and other denominational backgrounds worship together in a spirit of unity.

The Strasbourg Alliance Church is one of over 400 churches of the Christian & Missionary Alliance Church of Canada webpage: www.cmalliance.ca

Our denomination has a strong missions orientation. We support and encourage the growth of the church not only in Canada but around the world.

It is our goal to be followers of Jesus Christ in our own lives and to encourage others to know and love Him, as well. Visitors are always welcome.

St John Lutheran Church

St. John Lutheran Church

St. John is a community of faith where both guest and host can feel celebrated. It is a place where the generations mix and match and each person can truly get the sense that her or his life is interesting, remarkable, grace-filled and worthy of note. What keeps us connected one to another, is being sensitive to the God-given gifts of others. It means listening to hear and not to refute; it means showing care rather than judgment.

St. John is a community of faith where all are welcome. It is a community of faith that strives to create and maintain a hospitable, nurturing place to grow in faith. In a welcoming place, we are encountered by God’s grace as it relates to our own stories and the stories of those we love. We can honestly say to you, whatever your age, whatever your story, whoever you are – “We are glad you’re here!”

Remember this invitation – come and be part of St. John’s continuing story. Come and visit. Come and learn. Come and worship. Come and see. Our Lord and Saviour whom we serve welcomes all and celebrates that there are no strangers, but sisters and brothers on a great pilgrimage to a promised wonderful and future glory.

Our Sunday worship and church school begins at 9:30 am. Holy Communion is celebrated the first and third Sunday of each month. The fourth Sunday is an alternative worship service featuring music from the praise band “Spirit Led”. Our church is accessible to the disabled.

Hello from Strasbourg United Church. We are a small but mighty congregation of people who gather for worship once a week and have a bit of community outreach as well. Our present building is quite new as the first service was conducted in September 1987. We have regular services every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. except for a holiday month in the summertime. That will be posted on the sign in front of the church. Our present minister-in-training is Donna Rumpel.

Some of the things we do within the Strasbourg area are:

  • Provide leadership for a service at the Last Mountain Pioneer Home once a month

  • Deliver Meals On Wheels a couple of months a year

  • Host a couple of coffee party/bake sales every year

  • Sunday School classes are held for our youth once a month at the same time as regular services. We would hold them more often if we had more youth to serve but we have a fairly elderly congregation

  • Hospital visitations for the sick in the Regina hospitals

  • Participating in the donating, compiling and delivering of Christmas hampers within the Strasbourg area (this is a joint effort with all the churches in town)

  • Coffee and goodies on the third Sunday of every month after the church service

We are always open to new ideas and fresh faces. Please feel free to come join us. If you have any questions please call the office at 725-3385. There is an answering machine so if you don’t reach anyone please leave a message and either the minister or the secretary will get back to you as soon as they can.

St. Rita Catholic Church - Strasbourg, SK

St. Rita Catholic Church located on the corner of Erickson Road and Assiniboia Avenue.

The Catholic families of Strasbourg area were first served by priests coming from Grayson and later Southey. Services were held at peoples homes, occasionally Last Mountain Hotel and a few times at the Town Hall. Through Father Ruben's (who came from Govan) dedication and hard work, a church was built or obtained, about the year 1936. Also at that time (1936) a Rectory was built at Govan and Govan officially became a parish with Strasbourg becoming a Mission of Govan and was served from there. In 1983, Strasbourg became a Mission of Southey and has been served by Southey ever since.

Over the years the church has seen many changes, improvements have been made and numbers fluctuate. Though always a small congregation, the members pull together like family and we enjoy a near full house every weekend. We are very fortunate to have mass every week on a rotating schedule - Sat. night mass at 7:00 p.m.; Sundays at 9:00 a.m. or 11:00 a.m. Presently our priest is Father Reymundo Assis.

Outside of church activities parishioners of St. Rita are involved in delivering Meals on Wheels, Services at Last Mountain Pioneer Home, World Day of Prayer, Festival of Praise, Prelude to Christmas and Interfaith Sunday in summer.

For mass times or church related inquiries contact Bobbi Racette at 725-3357.
